Children can explore bees, visit a protected live hive and taste honey at this 1.5-hour school holiday workshop in Kiama.
This 1.5-hour workshop introduces children to bees and their role in the natural world. At Burnetts on Barney’s Kiama apiary, participants visit a live hive wearing protective suits and gloves, learn about pollination, bee life cycles and honey-making, then taste honey from a hive. It’s aimed at primary-school-aged children. Sessions are listed for 28 and 29 September and 6, 7 and 8 October 2026 at Burnetts on Barney, 80 Barney Street, Kiama. Tickets start at $48; book through Bee Inspired.
