Free Oktoberfest with live German music at UOW UniBar, Wollongong, on Friday 9 October from 5pm; bookings required.

Oktoberfest runs at UOW UniBar in Wollongong on Friday 9 October, from 5pm to 10pm. The Oompah Loompah band will play traditional German music, with an outdoor DJ also on the programme. There’ll be pretzels, schnitzels and beer, plus a best-dressed competition, stein-holding challenge, Giant Beer Pong and lawn games. It’s an option for friends after live music, food and a few games at the University of Wollongong. Entry is free, but bookings are required.
