Bird-spotting Walks starts at Botanic Garden Discovery Centre in Keiraville on Thursday 1 October at 12:30pm. Illawarra Birders lead this free, one-hour lunchtime walk through Wollongong Botanic Garden, helping participants identify birds living in the area. It suits anyone keen to learn about local birdlife, whether they already watch birds or are just starting out. Bring a camera if you would like to photograph what you spot. The walk meets at the Education Centre near the Madoline Street entrance, at 29 Madoline Street, and finishes at 1:30pm.
