Shellharbour North Beach is off Junction Road at Barrack Point and is used for swimming and surfing. It is partly sheltered from southerly winds but exposed to a range of swell. Facilities include public toilets, outdoor showers, barbecues and a car park off Junction Road. A beach wheelchair is available when lifeguards are on patrol, using an access code from an on-duty lifeguard or council customer service.
