NSW Private Investigations (NSWPI) is a licensed private investigation firm with an office on Crown Street, Wollongong, carrying out surveillance and investigations across the Illawarra, Sydney and the rest of NSW and the ACT. Its investigators are licensed by the NSW Police under the Commercial Agents and Private Inquiry Agents Act 2004 (NSW Master Licence 412080174).

Services for individuals include infidelity matters, surveillance, background checks, locating missing persons, and online dating and internet fraud checks. For insurers, law firms and businesses the firm handles insurance and workers compensation investigations, factual investigations, corporate investigations, process serving (including affidavits of service) and local council and licensing law matters. It also supplies spy products such as GPS trackers, recording devices, phone tracker software and computer monitoring software.

Every job is overseen by a manager who prepares a plan covering locations, subjects and timeframes. The site states that most of its investigators have a law enforcement or military background, and that surveillance is sold in fixed packages with travel, kilometres and GST included.

Besides Wollongong the firm has an office in Sydney and covers Newcastle, the Central Coast, Canberra, Coffs Harbour, Orange, Armidale, Tweed Heads and the South Coast. Both offices are visited by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, and the phone line is answered 24 hours.
