Nowra Cranes

Nowra Cranes is a family owned crane hire company based in South Nowra, running Franna, slew and all-terrain cranes and a tilt tray truck for lifts across the Shoalhaven, the South Coast and the Illawarra. It trades under Pacific National Constructions Pty Ltd, which has operated as Nowra Cranes for over 13 years, and it grew from two cranes to what the site describes as the largest crane fleet south of Wollongong.

The fleet published on the site is an 80t Grove with a hydraulic luffing fly jib, a 50t Tadano, two 30t Katos, four 20t Frannas and a Hino 700 tilt tray with almost 14t payload. Nowra Cranes says it has the only local 20 tonne Franna fitted with anti two-block. Cranes are Crane Safe certified every 12 months and inspected every 6 months by B&B Heavy Vehicle Repairs, and lifting gear is inspected every 6 months by Bullivants. The company works to AS/NZS 4801:2001.

Director Cliff Wilson, who came from a steel erection partnership in Sydney, handles all crane bookings. He will attend site for a free analysis of the proposed lift, and he can co-ordinate riggers, boilermakers, truck hire or a larger mobile crane when a job needs one. Every quote is given in writing before work starts on site.
